A Road to Safety

On February 26th, 2024, the members of Yi Yuva REC hosted an event called "A Road to Safety" at Jaigopal Garodia Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Kolathur. The event aimed to educate students of grades 5th to 8th about road safety and the Good Samaritan Law, using an audio-visual presentation. After the presentation, students were invited to participate in a drawing competition with the theme of road safety. The competition was a great way for the students to show their creativity while also getting to explore more about road safety. To further encourage the students to practice road safety, the students were provided the Super Kid Cop report cards which allowed them to monitor their parents' road safety behaviour. Overall, the event was a great success in terms of enlightening students and raising awareness about road safety. The students left the event with a better understanding of how to stay safe on the road and the importance of practicing good road safety habits.
